Storytime offers the following options
to Primary Schools but can also design custom courses and storytelling hours
to meet your needs. Please contact Storytime for further details on any
of the courses listed or if you are interested in a custom course.
- Story
week or Project week: OUR MOST
REQUESTED OFFER!!!
This one- or two-week intensive
project is built around one story and/or theme and integrates other
curricular subjects. This "team teaching" course normally
runs 3 to 4 lessons per day, giving the class between 17-20 hours of
contact English in the week. Projects must be pre-arranged with Director
and Class Teacher.
- Afternoon
Panda Courses (1/2 + 3/4):
These courses run for 10 lessons
(per semester) and are given at the school, usually as an afternoon
course pre-arranged with the school Director and interested parents
or parents association. Carefully selected stories that last between
3-4 lessons are used throughout the year, which correspond to the level,
goal, and current topics so that children can relate what they learn
to other areas of the curriculum.
Please Note: Two courses are available: Panda 1/2 is designed
for the 1st and 2nd grade combined, while Panda 3/4 is designed for
the 3rd and 4th grade combined. A minimum number of children per course
is 6.
- Story
Day:
This is a one-day project (4
lessons) built around one story and includes activities that complement
the story and can also correspond to the current theme or topics being
taught. Course runs from about 8:00-12:00, depending on specific time
schedule of school or class.
- Story
Club (No membership required!)
Knowing which stories and books
are appropriate for your child can be difficult! I hope to take the
mystery out of this by occasionally offering FREE,
informal readings of selected Usborne books. Parents and children
alike will get a taste of the newest, as well as some of the classic
stories that are perfect for English learners of any age. Afternoon
and evening appointments can be arranged by the Parent Association or
school. A nice selection
of books will be on display.
